Your final appointment and salary will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, and the level at which you are appointed.Lecturer: $99,788 - $119,204Senior Lecturer: $126,863 - $158,904Associate Professor: from $165,808He kōrero mōu | About youWe’re looking for emerging or established academics who are passionate about teaching and research, and ready to take the next step in their academic career.Essential requirementsPhD in Statistics, Statistics Education, or Data Science, or a closely related fieldDemonstrated track record of publications in high-quality journalsAbility to work independently across the full research and publication processStrong organisational skillsPreferred experienceExperience lecturing in Statistics, Statistics Education, or Data ScienceEvidence of teaching excellence (e.g. student feedback, peer review, awards)Experience supervising or co-supervising postgraduate researchAbility to secure or show potential for research fundingExperience contributing to academic service and administrationWe are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to advanced Applied Statistics teaching, including in areas such as deep learning, large language models, experimental design, visualization, or time series.Ability to conduct in-person and hybrid teaching in China is also advantageous.Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou | What we offerThe University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading University and maintains significant computational, laboratory, and analytic facilities.
